Tap water stations at tonight’s CenterPoint Energy Torchlight Parade will help spectators stay hydrated

Tonight’s Aquatennial’s CenterPoint Energy Torchlight Parade along Hennepin Avenue is taking place during one of the hottest days of the summer. To help everyone beat the heat, the City of Minneapolis will have drinking water stations along the parade route. Visitors are strongly advised to bring re-fillable water bottles so they can stay hydrated.

The CenterPoint Energy Torchlight Parade runs 8:30-10:30 p.m. on Hennepin Avenue from the Basilica of St. Mary to Fifth Street. Prior to the parade, the Twin Cities Orthopedics Torchlight 5K will take place on Hennepin Avenue, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Four water stations will be in place along the Hennepin Avenue parade route:

• The west side at Sixth Street.

• The east side at Ninth Street.

• The west side at 11^th

• The west side at Laurel Avenue.
